saved PM's

Hi Jimbo,
just wonderd if there was a time limit to how long saved PM's stay in your saved box for,do they get deleted after a set time period ?
I did have about eight in there but they seem to have gone ! could well be somethin ive done or not done , no problem ,just wonderd ?

I run a utility once in a while that clears all old data from the database, this includes files that have been uploaded incorrectly, deleted posts etc. Unfortunately this seems to remove PM's as well.

I do need to run the utility, as there seem to be a large number of 'orphan' files - these may be uploaded avatars that no longer get used, files uploaded to the gallery incorrectly and other reasons.

Thae database is quite large, at around 30MB so it is important it is controlled.

I would suggest copying the PM's to your own pc if you really need them.

I will run the tidy routine once a month, or when the little 'bot' informs me the database needs sorting.

Sorry for any inconvenience, but it cannot be helped in order to keep the site tidy and fast.

No problem Jimbo,I understand its all part and parcel of keeping the site slick and ship shape,will do as you have suggested and copy to pc if needed.
