I bought some "Fireline" to use out on a boat and i would like to know if i can use it on a beachcasting reel i.e Daiwa 7ht and will it improve my catch rate?

I've found that braid & multiplyers (beach) dont mix. The braid cuts into itself & snatches when you cast. Keep it for your boat reel or fixed spool.

As above.....use Fireline/Whiplash on a mangle.....braid on multipliers is OK for boat-fishing...infact it is the "doggies doo-doo`"
I use the Fireline XDS..it has a round profile and never beds-in or causes crack-offs when used with my Daiwa F/S.Pricier than the standard Fireline both worth it...lasts for ever..and be turned around in future.
The above might work fine on a Muliplier but @ £30 a shot...I ain`t going to try it...one birdnest and then a real pain in the wallet
I also have 12 lb b/s XDS on my bass/mackeral combo and a 3 oz lead goes out-a-sight!
Never go back to mono on the f/s....but always use on my 7ht and Abu 6500 reels.

I have used Briad on FS reels and beach rods, the only problem is it picks up wave movement and can make bite detection a pain ... but the plus side is that you get realyu good feel ... I use it on my mackerel/bass great fun ....
