Is the Titantex Waterproof Smock truly waterproof or after standing in persistent rain will water eventually get through?

I have the jacket and fleece, and it's spot on - I wish I had one when I was in the Marines! Dab Hand has the smock version, and as far as I know has never had a problem with it.
I would've got a smock, but prefer the jacket as you can choose to open the zip to ventilate, or wear the fleece or not (it zips into the jacket, and can be worn on it's own too).
£65 well spent I reckon! :D

As Jimbo says I have the smock and salopettes and haven't got wet yet.It is completely waterproof and BREATHABLE so no sweaty wet undergarments.
The dogs........ I think well worth the dosh..
Whist on the subject of clothes Matalan have thermal long johns and long sleeve thermal tshirts for £6 each. All sizes absolute bargain and lovely and warm. Better than paying £20ish for the same thing in various outdoor shops. :!:

Whilst on subject of clothing - what's your favoured footwear? i used to wear wellies or trainers with thermal socks but still got cold feet. i got some of those 'sympatex' (or something like that) outdoor/walking boots for xmas and they are fantastic. :) :D
Comfortable, warm and completely waterproof (unless you go in too deep!)
I still swear by my Shakespear flotation suit too (2 piece) warm and waterproof although can be quite bulky. Shall invest in something smaller for the summer I think.

Must admit guys my one piece is getting a bit 'worn' now and I'm in two minds wether to replace it with another one or get a two piece, I fancy a two but don't know how I'd get on with salopets, do they make your sholders ache? :)

To be honest Flounder I find my 2 piece quite comfortable and the salopettes are adjustable so you can adjust to suit. Also the benefit of 2 bits to the suit is that you don't have to wear both if you don't need to. They don't make your shoulders ache.
Having said that there are loads of products out there so worth 'shopping' round maybe?

I hope the new titantex is better than their storm jacket because when it's peeing down my storm jacket leaks live a seive. I use salopettes and think they are really good I would advise you to buy a two peice because if you get too hot you can remove a peice............ :D
